Os websites com endereço .xxx estão no ar na Internet desde ontem, dia 05 de dezembro. A extensão controversa foi criada para sites de conteúdo adulto e foi aprovada pela ICANN.

 

Com a criação desta extensão, a ideia é distinguir melhor este tipo de sites dos demais. O lançamento chega junto com uma polêmica: alguns temem que os conteúdos pornográficos tornem-se mais evidentes na web.

 

No começo deste ano, houve indicações de que alguns países passariam a bloquear esta extensão, como a Índia. Apesar do recente lançamento, já existem mais de 100.000 sites com o novo endereço.
