Olá,

 

Estou montando um servidor local de virtualização KVM, vou usar para criar VMs de testes e estudos, só gostaria da opinião/experiência de vocês sobre:  Ubuntu Server, Debian 7 ou CentOS(esse uso nos servidores de produção com SolusVM) para SO do servidor.

    Acredito que o CentOS é o que roda mais estável o SolusVM atualmente, com qualquer plataforma de virtualização.

    Tanto o CentOS como o Debian são ótimas alternativas para rodar o KVM. Eu te aconselho a optar pelo sistema que você tem mais facilidade, pois o resultado, em questão de performance, não será muito diferente se você optar por um desses 2.

     

    Uma outra questão. Como você pretende administrar estas VMs? Em modo gráfico pelo próprio Desktop do servidor (node) ou por VNC via rede?

     

    Se for pelo Desktop, vejo o Debian e até mesmo o Fedora como alternativas melhores do que o CentOS. Agora, se for tudo pela rede, o CentOS se torna mais prático e estável.
