Boa noite amigo... também estou pesquisando sobre isso... No meu caso apenas mudando o ícone do atendente e o cliente para um diferente um do outro está ótimo

Você tem que fazer a alteração no seu template.
Funciona tanto para o Template padrão, tanto para outros personalizados.
Basta alterar o mesmo arquivo no template que você está utilizando.
