Podem postar links ou até mesmos tutoriais de ligar um VPS Centos na rede no VMware ESXI.

Criei o VPS, até tentei liga-lo a rede, mas fico online apenas internamente, ping com a rede interna e não está conectado a rede

Você deve instalar o VMware tools, clique em Install/Upgrade VMware Tools no vSphere(ESXi)

OBS: Execute o VMware Tools install com essa linha de comando: ./vmware-install.pl -d

passei dessa etapa, mas não consigo atualizar o kernel

Veja se os DNS estão configurados no resolv.conf de forma correta e se você consegue resolver nomes.

Obrigado pela ajuda dos dois, alguns tutoriais na internet apenas atrapalham, olhei o que precisa configurar:

resolv.conf

network

Então olhei em uma maquina já configura e estudei um pouco, depois basto instalar o VmTools, obrigado pelo ajuda.

Wid, tente:

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/ ; cd /mnt/ ; cp VMware* /root/ ; cd /root/ ; tar xfz VM* ; cd vm* ; ./vmware*.pl -d

E depois tente dar reboot no servidor, assim que dar reboot digite: ifconfig e veja se a eth0 está disponível, se não, tente: ifup eth0
